TheGardenDiet Raw Inspiration 10/1/02 - Fruit Swap

A friend of mine told me of HER raw-vegan friend who was an urban cowboy who would go out into the Florida neighborhoods with a huge postal bag and knock on people's doors offering to pick their fruit. Many people had "fruit guilt" from so much fruit from their trees just rotting on the ground. Many older people couldn't pick the fruit themselves, so she picked some for her and some for them. She would always return with the postal bag full of fruit. She also had an old mortar and pestle with which she had an elaborate system for making sprouted grain bread. With just these, she would make feasts for the whole communal household.

Another great idea from Julia Butterfly Hill: Start a fruit & vegetable swap in your area where everyone can bring their extra fruit and veggies from their gardens and trade!
